Where can they be used?
Icons and emojis can be used in the following blocks:
💡 Tip: On Windows, press [Windows] + [.] or on Mac, [Control] + [Command] + [Space] to insert emojis in text blocks.
Icons
Our icon database contains 5 families with over 40,000 icons. Most icons don't require attribution when used with Heyflow.
Each icon family has a unique style, which you can select from the drop-down menu in the top right corner, e.g.:
Streamline Icons: Bold, Light, Regular
Phosphor Icons: Bold, Duotone, Fill, Light, Regular, Thin
Ionicons: Filled, Outline, Sharp
In the design settings of each block, you can adjust icons, such as changing their color, which by default is your flow's primary color.
Your recently used icons are displayed at the bottom of the icon library, so you can quickly reuse them in other flows.
💡 Tip: You can upload your own icons, for example, to change icon colors within a flow. Be sure to upload them at a consistent size (e.g., 1x1) for a cohesive look.
Emojis
In addition to icons, you can add emojis, which will be displayed according to the user's device. Once you click to select an emoji, you can search for a specific one, browse emoji families, or pick from frequently used emojis.

Consistent and Responsive Design
Use icons consistently throughout the flow and avoid mixing them with emojis, images, or plain text. Stick to one icon family to maintain a unified design. Icons should look good on all screen sizes and be scalable.
