New features and big updates
The future is mobile — optimized flows for all devices 📱
It’s essential for any successful flow to work seamlessly on all devices. While we have recently released performance improvements across all screen sizes, this month’s update has a special focus on mobile flow visitors:
Loading speed for mobile: We’ve further optimized our backend, cutting loading times yet again to provide a fast and smooth experience for you and your flow visitors. Our latest update drastically improves loading speed for mobile users and embedded flows, making them on average +25% faster.
Automatic image optimization: File size is an important factor when it comes to loading images on different devices – but that’s one more worry we now take off your hands. We’ll automatically adjust all your uploaded images and icons based on your visitors’ devices, so your flow performance won’t suffer when using large graphics for mobile flows.
📈 Other improvements
Smaller changes that will improve your Heyflow experience
Phone block: The phone block now visually matches your other input fields, so that your forms look smooth and consistent. You can also add floating labels and info texts to your phone number inputs.
You can now change your payment method directly in the Heyflow app without having to contact our support team.
We reduced the size of our main javascript bundle, improving flow loading speed even further.
We made some performance improvements in the app when working with containers.
HubSpot integration: New responses are now recorded as a timeline event in HubSpot. This means that unmapped fields will no longer be added as a note, instead, the entire response will be recorded as a new timeline event. Find more information in our Help Center.
🐞 Bug fixes
Temporary technical issues that have been resolved
Input field validation: Required input fields cannot be bypassed anymore when entering a space or other whitespace characters only.
Date picker: The date picker now works as expected in embedded flows.
Horizontal overflow on mobile: Overflowing text on buttons in containers is now ellipsed and does not cause horizontal overflow issues on mobile devices.
Narrow embeds now correctly display the mobile version of the flow and not, like previously, a squished version of the desktop view.
Builder errors: We fixed some error messages in the builder, for example when deleting screens.
Preview: We fixed missing updates in the preview when using the undo/redo buttons.
Design import: Importing the design from another flow is fixed.
