How to get started
Open your Events Manager and head over to “Business Settings” first:
2. Then, click on “Brand Safety” and “Domains” on the left-hand side.
❗ Note: If you're not the owner of the Business Manager, you need the necessary rights first in order to access the domains.
3. Next, create a new domain by clicking on Add and then Create a new domain.
❗ You can only verify your root domain, subdomains can't be verified. Also, enter your root domain without prefixes.
For example, the root domain could look like this: myheyflow.com
. Enter it neither as www.myheyflow.com
nor as https://myheyflow.com
.
❗ The prerequisite for domain verification is that the domain is correctly connected to your Heyflow. Please take a look here for more information on domain connections. Our domain heyflow.id
cannot be verified in the Meta Business Manager.
4. Now comes the part of the actual verification process. Here, we cover two different possibilities of verifying your domain:
Method 1: Add a meta-tag content to Heyflow Integration
The first method of verifying your domain on Meta is by adding a meta-tag to your HTML source code.
💡 Tip: This method is the easiest and recommend by us.
Simply copy the meta-tag from your Events Manager and return to our heyflow.
First go to "Integrate" and then to "Analytics", here you'll find the tab for the Meta domain verification.
Paste the meta-tag here and click on connect.
Publish your flow again.
Lastly, go back to Meta and click on Verify domain. Now, you've successfully verified your domain on Meta!
Method 2: Update the DNS TXT record with your domain registrar
The second method of verifying your domain in Meta is by adding a TXT record to your DNS settings.
Simply copy the TXT record value.
Head over to your DNS providers’ page to access your DNS settings (i.e. Namecheap, GoDaddy, Strato, Inkl., etc.)
In your DNS settings, you’ll then have to add a TXT record, and paste the copied value under “value” (sometimes called “content”):
Regarding the “Host”, you should simply insert the @ sign, for a root domain. If the DNS provider doesn’t allow you to do so, you should use a subdomain instead (i.e. www.)
🔎 Now it might take up to 72 hours for the domain to be verified. Usually it only takes 5 minutes though.
